Thank you for publishing my article regarding the “EL” portion on my utility bill in Vidalia.

The honorable present mayor, Hyram Copeland, called me and proceeded to tell me he checked into several of my utility bills. The other bills showed lower electric rates. True! The point of my article was to establish the amount charged per kilowatt hours was too high! I should have included that in my article. I apologize for possibly misleading the purpose I intended to relay about the electric rate per the utility bill.

I recently talked to mayor-elect Buz Craft, and he still contends that something can be done to alleviate the high rate charged on the “EL” portion of the utility bill!

Suffice to say, I hope I have made my stand on the amount we have to pay for the electric portion on our bill.
