NATCHEZ — Lauren Burns, the assistant vice president and internal auditor at United Mississippi Bank, has been named as the sole scholarship recipient for year one of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.
After completing the Louisiana Banker’s Association Leadership School “Growing our Next Generation of Leaders” program in late 2015, Burns was able to apply for the scholarship awarded by the program. She received word earlier in 2016 that she was the recipient of the scholarship valued over $3,750.
The Graduate School of Banking at LSU is a three-year program, two weeks each in May every year.
This year’s session begins today and ends June 3rd.
