Football season set to bring intriguing matchups

NATCHEZ — There will be a bevy of intriguing matchups this upcoming football season for MAIS teams in the area.
Cathedral and Trinity Episcopal will play each other Sept. 30 at Trinity. The following week, Cathedral will then host District 4-AAA rival Adams County Christian School.
Trinity will host Centreville Academy Oct. 7 before hosting Wilkinson County Christian Academy in the regular-season finale Oct. 21.
Cathedral will travel to Centreville Academy Oct. 14.
ACCS is slated to host AAAA power Madison-Ridgeland Academy in the season opener Aug. 19, and will travel to WCCA Sept. 9. ACCS will also travel to Jackson Academy Aug. 26, while Cathedral is scheduled to host Jackson Prep on Sept. 2.
Trinity opens the year Aug. 19 as it will host Silliman Institute, while Cathedral travels to St. Aloysius for its opener the same date.
Cathedral will travel Sept. 9 to Brookhaven Academy, which is led by former Cathedral coach Ron Rushing. Chuck Darbonne has been hired as Rushing’s replacement.
Trinity is led by first-year coach Graham Roberts. David King is the head man at ACCS.
