NATCHEZ — Robert Alfred Carman, 42, died Sunday, May 8, 2016, surrounded by his beloved family at his residence.

A special memorial service to celebrate his life and rebirth in Heaven will be Thursday, May 26, 2016, for family and close friends.

Arrangements are under the direction Laird Funeral Home.

Robert was born Nov. 22, 1973, in Natchez, the son of David Joe Carman and Sarah Nell Case Carman.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother; one daughter, Haley Rae Carman; one son, Austin Lee Carman; two brothers, David “Jody” Carman and wife, April, of Gilbert, La., and Charles “Charley” Wagley and wife, Sabrina, of Natchez; maternal grandmother, Jimmie Gerald of Meadville; and a number of loved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family extends a special thank you to Annie Case, Jane Funderburg, Tunya Renfrow, Sabrina Wagley and the nurses of Hospice Compassus for the care they provided to Robert. They also extend their appreciation to Gabriel Carman and his family for their support.
