Grennell is right person for mayor

We believe Darryl Grennell is the right person at the right time to lead Natchez forward as our next mayor.
Over the years we have been impressed with Darryl’s calm, dignified and unbiased leadership style. Darryl was on the board of supervisors for 18 years and was president of the board for 13 of those years. He kept the board united, made sure he listened to all sides and always had balanced budgets and good audits.
Our city needs unity and financial leadership. Darryl will make that happen. For the last 18 years, he has been deeply involved in all issues related to both the city and county — remember the city is in the county. He has been to Jackson and Washington, D.C., and already has those contacts. During all of this time he has been involved in our most important economic development projects, major infrastructure projects, tourism and many other activities in our community.
He was a college science teacher for 27 years. So, we know he is dedicated to education. We also know that the mayor has no direct control over our public school system; however, based on his teaching experience, he has already demonstrated that he is dedicated to improving our schools as much as possible. Due to his already proven involvement in our community, he is the only candidate that can hit the ground running and lead from Day 1. Please join with us and vote Darryl Grennell for mayor on Tuesday.
