Man threatens women with knife on Silver Street

NATCHEZ — Natchez police are looking for a suspect who allegedly threatened two women with a knife early Saturday morning on Silver Street.
The suspect is described as a bald, black male approximately 5’7 and 135 pounds.
Officer John Finley reported that as he was driving down Silver Street at approximately 1 a.m. a white woman ran out in front of his patrol car and started yelling that a man had a knife.
As this was happening, the suspect grabbed another woman standing in the road. Noticing that a police car was nearby, Finley said the man turned and ran down Silver Street about 50 yards with a knife in his right hand. the suspect jumped over the railing and off the cliff.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black muscle shirt, camouflage pants with gold chains around his neck.
The two women were walking down Silver Street to Under the Hill Saloon from Bowie’s when the suspect jumped over the railing and pulled a knife on them, they told police.The women stated they would give him money, but Finley said he asked if they had children. The suspect then went after the woman who had children with a knife, and that’s when Finley said he showed up and notified dispatch.
