VIDALIA — A second suspect was arrested Tuesday in connection with a November 2015 home invasion in which a Ridgecrest man pleaded guilty to committing last month.
Kelli Lofton, 32, 217 Lynn Haven Drive, was charged Tuesday with home invasion and simple robbery.
Edward Wells, 44, 199 Crestview Drive, pleaded guilty to home invasion and simple robbery related to the case in early March.
After reportedly being kicked out of the residence in which she was living, Lofton is alleged to have returned an hour later with Wells, Vidalia Police Department Bruce Wiley said.
When the victim answered the door, Wells reportedly punched the homeowner, and Wells and Lofton reportedly entered the home and stole multiple items before fleeing in a red Dodge truck.
Once the victim regained his bearings, he called the Vidalia Police Department.
Wells was apprehended in January by police in Tennessee on unrelated felony charges and extradited to Concordia Parish.
Lofton was at the home of a suspect in an unrelated burglary, Kaleb S. Tarver, 40, when Vidalia Police Department arrested Tarver.
Lofton was being held at the Concordia Parish Correctional Facility on a $35,000 bond.
