VIDALIA — A Vidalia 17-year-old is behind bars following an alleged rape that occurred on Sunday.

Demarco D. Brown, 10 Fourth St., was charged with third-degree rape, as well as unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and criminal damage to property.

The victim involved is a juvenile.

Vidalia Police Department Investigator Miranda Clifton would not release any additional information as the investigation is ongoing.
