Delta Bank announces employee promotions

FERRIDAY — R. Edwin Haworth, president and chief executive officer of Delta Bank, recently announced the promotions of several Delta Bank employees.
Jennifer Brixey Freeman has been promoted to vice president. Freeman has been employed by Delta Bank for 17 years, and has led Delta Bank’s Mortgage Loan Department since 2003.
She is a graduate of Ferriday High School and attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
Freeman is married to Greg Freeman. They have three children. They attend Vidalia First Baptist Church. She coaches girls’ basketball and softball and represents Delta Bank at the Natchez Board of Realtors, 4-H Advisory Council, Kiwanis Club, Relay for Life and leads a local Girl Scout troop. She was named 2014 Volunteer of the Year by the Concordia Chamber of Commerce.
Wade Heatherly has been promoted to senior vice president. Heatherly joined Delta Bank’s Natchez office in 2014 as a commercial lender.
He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served from 1984 to 1989. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1993.
Heatherly is a member of St. Mary Basilica, Kiwanis International, Home Builders Association, AESC, Santa Claus Committee, Leadership Natchez 2005 graduate and the Royal Order of Shellbacks. He has served on the Board of the Krewe of Phoenix, Natchez Little Theatre and is the current president of Beau Pre Country Club Men’s Golf Association.
Heatherly is married to Susannah Byrne Heatherly. The Heatherlys reside in Natchez with their three children.
Suzanne Staggs has been promoted to banking officer and branch manager of the Vidalia office. She joined Delta Bank in 2014. Staggs graduated from South Natchez High School and attended Hinds Junior College.
Staggs donates much of her time to fundraising events for Mississippi’s Toughest Kids Foundation, St. Jude’s Ronald McDonald House, and Relay for Life. Staggs and her husband, Billy, reside in Vidalia and attend Cornerstone Church. They enjoy spending time with their three daughters and their families.
Mark Welch has been promoted to assistant vice president. He has been a lender in the Ferriday office of Delta Bank since 2014.
Welch earned a bachelor’s degree in business economics and a master’s degree in business administration from Louisiana Tech University.
Welch is active in civic clubs and organizations, including the Lion’s Club, Rotary Club, Camp Rainbow/Mississippi’s Toughest Kids Foundation, Relay for Life, National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited. He is currently participating in the Concordia Chamber Commerce’s Emerging Leaders Program.
Welch is married to Paige Staggs Welch. They reside in Vidalia and attend Cornerstone Church.
