BATON ROUGE – The Louisiana Travel Promotion Association (LTPA) has honored Rep. Andy Anders with the Governmental Friend of Tourism Award for his unwavering support for the tourism industry among legislators in the House.
“Each year, it is our privilege to honor state legislators for working diligently to help the tourism industry showcase our great culture to the rest of the world,” said Jill Kidder, LTPA co-executive director.
“Rep. Anders understands the significant return on investment tourism provides for Louisiana communities. This has been exemplified by his leadership in forming the Vidalia tourism district and the building of the Vidalia Convention Center and Riverwalk Complex, in addition to his continuous legislative efforts on behalf of the industry.”
