VIDALIA — Two people were hospitalized, one critically, Thursday morning after a mobile home fire.
The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 1:45 a.m. Thursday about a fire at 122 Ralph’s Road.
When emergency response units arrived, the mobile home was engulfed by flames, CPSO Public Information Officer Vernon Stevens said.
The two injured in the fire were a man and a woman.
The man was taken by helicopter to Baton Rouge General after being recovered from the floor of the mobile home in critical condition.
The woman was taken to Merit Health Natchez, suffering mostly from smoke inhalation, Stevens said. Since then Stevens said he believes she was released.
The State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
