God sent vision to help community

A couple months ago, I had a dream/vision. Before I elaborate about the dream/vision there is something you must know first and foremost. I am a proud member of the Sadie V. Thompson class of 1968. I was in the dream looking all around into the empty space when suddenly a voice began speaking to me. The voice said the class of 1968 is known for the love you all have from one another, how you come together and support each other in times of need. Oh, and you class knows how to have a good time when you all get together. But you are getting older. Some of you are sick and some of you have passed on.
I am still in the dream listening attentively to the voice. Suddenly I see myself holding a turkey. The voice said the community has been good to the class of 1968. Now it’s time to give back. You see, as a member of the SVT class of 1968, I know firsthand what my classmates will do when you need them. I have myelofibrosis and have been on the bone marrow donors list for seven years. When I would have bone marrow drives, my classmates stepped up along with other wonderful volunteers to collect donor specimens and donate blood. My profound admiration is deep. No donor has been found for me. It’s only by God’s grace and my great doctors, that I continue to live and breathe on this earth.
As I continue to see myself holding the turkey, the voice said, “Tell your classmates they should give 1,000 turkeys to those who need them for Christmas.”
I am also amazed that I am holding a turkey, because I can’t do it in real life. I am in pain constantly. The ability to pick up a turkey at this time eludes me. I could see myself passing out turkeys with my classmates. Then something miraculous happened — the turkey turned into cash.
Then I woke up. I called out to God, “What does this mean?”
I can’t tell my classmates this. I am afraid they won’t take me seriously. But God’s will must be done.
So at our next meeting, I told them what I believe to be the voice of God and what he had commanded me to tell them. My classmates are all God-fearing believers who immediately discerned that this was truly a message from God and immediately embraced the concept and began working on a plan. However, because of time constraints and limited funds, we have decided to sponsor 25 deserving families. Now we have a goal to work toward. Honestly, I can’t express how blessed I feel that God would choose me to deliver this very important and, to me, sacred message.
I love my classmates. They are always ready for a challenge. I have told my experience to several people. Some think I had a dream. Some think I had a vision. You choose.
Merry Christmas.
