Kick of the holidays with the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society

The Natchez-Adams County Humane Society (NACHS) will have a variety of activities happening Saturday at the Natchez Mall.

Pet Pictures with Santa will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come enjoy the fun of having a picture taken of your precious four-legged member of the family with Santa.

For that person who has everything, a feel-good gift of a donation in honor of them would make a great stocking stuffer. You will receive an attractive card designed especially for you by the kittens and puppies at the shelter.

A gift certificate for that special person to pick out a new best friend would allow the recipient to take home an entertaining, loving new member of the family. We have gift certificates for puppies, kittens, dogs or cats. Whoever said money can’t buy happiness has never paid an adoption fee! Also, you will be saving a life!

We will provide information and handouts on the importance of spaying and neutering.

Kitties from the NACHS shelter will make a personal appearance Saturday as well. You will have the opportunity to take one or two kitties home! For just $35 to $45, you can add a loving and entertaining member to your family. This adoption fee includes spaying or neutering and vaccinations.

NACHS membership applications will be available. Memberships are $10 for youth, $25 for single (ages 18 and over), and $50 for family membership.

We will provide an opportunity for you to purchase a gift that will make you feel good all year long! You will also have the chance to start a monthly donation pledge to the NACHS.

The Natchez-Adams County Humane Society has just moved all of its precious animals into our new shelter at 475 Liberty Road. The new shelter is approximately 6,510 square feet, a huge increase from the old shelter, which was approximately 800 square feet. Along with the increase in size comes an increase in utility bills, insurance, etc. Both the City of Natchez and Adams County give NACHS $25,000 each per year. We must raise the remaining 79 percent of our annual budget and are highly dependent on local donors in order to continue providing these very important services.

The Natchez-Adams County Humane Society is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides compassionate care to more than 2000 homeless animals each year.

Please consider a monthly pledge of just $19 (or any amount). Because NACHS is a 501c3 non-profit organization, your donations are tax deductible.

We hope to see you at the Natchez Mall this Saturday!
