We must stand united with France

The world’s heart mourns for the people of Paris and the victims — including one American — left in the wake of Friday’s coldblooded, terrorist attacks.
Radical Islamic terrorists were responsible — again.
The world must come together to stop this group’s proliferation or the world as we know it will cease to exist soon.
While small in comparison to the death toll of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on America, the approximately 130 dead and hundreds wounded in the Paris attack are significant.
They are significant because of the precious lives taken and the thousands of lives affected.
But the attacks are also significant because their heinous nature sheds some light on the enemy we face.
Not only will these terrorists not bat an eye at killing a complete stranger in cold blood, but also these killers will go to extreme means to commit their crimes.
Investigators believe at least one of the terrorists had entered the country under the guise of being a Syrian refugee, taking advantage of another’s kindness. If we’ve learned anything since the world’s war on terror was declared following 9/11, it’s that terrorists will seek out our weaknesses and exploit them with deadly consequences.
We applaud the American government’s suggestion that we will stand united with France to seek out and find where these terrorists hide and end their reign.
We urge America, France and others to be prepared for a long war. We must not be in a hurry to stop before the job is done and these groups are removed from the planet.
The people we are fighting are not easily swayed from their mission to kill us.
We should not be easily swayed from returning the favor — with absolute resolve.
