This Saturday, Natchez Little Theatre will host a benefit concert for its building fund featuring music from Disney movies through the years. The event will be held in the theatre’s auditorium and will begin at 6:30 p.m. The box office and auditorium will open one hour before show time, and board members will be on hand as this is a great time to find out more information about NLT and join as a member.

Songs from Disney classics will be sung by locals of all ages. We will feature music from Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, The Lion King, Pocahontas, Pinocchio, Mary Poppins, Princess and the Frog, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Frozen and others.

The concert will begin a new tradition at the theatre. We hope to have at least three concerts per year in addition to the regular season programs. This will add events to our calendar during times when the theatre doesn’t have a show. We are an entertainment venue, and this is one way we aim to add to the wonderful creative fabric of our community.

Local artists have donated a few pieces which will be raffled off during the show. Tickets for the raffle will be $2 each or 3 tickets for $5.

At the conclusion of the show, we will have a reception with finger foods and drinks. Food will be provided by show participants, family members and board members.

Season memberships, sponsorships and advertisements are now available for purchase and a board member will be present to help anyone wishing to purchase any of these items. As we near Christmas, there is also the possibility you may want to purchase a membership or patron package for someone as a gift. We can help you with that, as well.

We are facing many issues with our building and the need for updates on our electrical and plumbing systems are crucial. With your help, we can continue the legacy that began so many years ago with the founding of our active community theatre. We hope you will attend Saturday’s concert and bring your friends with you.
