NATCHEZ— At least one person was dead and two others were hospitalized late Sunday night following a shooting on Kings Circle.

Natchez Police Detective Jerry Ford said investigators were searching for two possible shooters in connection with the shooting, which Ford said might be related to a drug deal gone bad.

The shooting occurred outside the city limits in the jurisdiction of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, but Natchez Police provided multiple officers who were on scene Sunday night to assist with the investigation.

The two victims injured in the shooting were airlifted to a Jackson hospital, Ford said.

Adams County Coroner James Lee arrived at the scene at approximately 10:40 p.m.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of 16 Kings Circle in the Broadmoor community in response to a call about a pregnant woman being shot multiple times by her boyfriend.

The woman was in a car while speaking to a dispatcher, and deputies reported once they got to the scene that the woman had wrecked the car she was apparently driving on Kings Circle.

At the scene, a silver Toyota sedan was crashed off Kings Circle.

At least 19 evidence markers were scattered across the road, which was marked off with crime scene tape.

Deputies reported additional shots were fired shortly after 9 p.m. and again at approximately 9:45 p.m.

Multiple attempts to reach officials with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office were unsuccessful.
