Dixon promoted to chief warrant officer in Navy

NATCHEZ — Natchez native Audrey J. Dixon was recently promoted to the rank of chief warrant officer in the U.S. Navy.
She previously served as a chief personnel specialist in aviation warfare.
Dixon began her career with the Navy in 1997.
She has served in various capacities onboard Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, onboard NAS Oceana, at the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Gulfport, as the leading petty officer for Fighter Quadron Composite 12, with the Atlantic Fleet Career Information Training Team, in Baghdad, Iraq, and at the Navy Personnel Command in Millington, Tenn.
Dixon has a master of business administration degree from Ashford University, a bachelor of science from Excelsior College and an assocaite of arts degree from Strayer University.
Her awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal and other recognitions.
Dixon has two children, Ta’Nia and Eric.
She is the daughter of Esther Perkins and Bill Heffner.
