As many of you already know next year will mark the 300th birthday of our beloved Natchez.

The Natchez Tricentennial Commission has many exciting events planned throughout next year for this festivity. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about one of those events.

There will be a Natchez Tricentennial photo contest! We will be composing a photography collage in honor of this exciting occasion.

This collage will be suitable for framing and will be available for purchase and display throughout the yearlong celebration. There will be multiple winners and we would like to encourage all photographers; amateur or professional, to participate.

Photos should depict Natchez people, events, architecture, landscape, and history….be creative. The contest is open to all Natchez/Vidalia residents 18 years of age and over.

How to Enter: You may submit up to 10 images per entry, please send in JPEG or GIF format to sue.burkhalter@gmail.com for review and judging. No photographs will be accepted through the mail. High quality scans of non-digital photos are acceptable. Files submitted may not exceed 10MB and can be in color or B & W. You will retain your rights to your photograph; however by entering the contest you grant the Natchez Convention Promotion Commission a royalty free license to publically display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entries.

The contest begins on October 1, 2015. All entries must be received electronically at sue.burkhalter@gmail.com by 11:59pm CST on November 30, 2015.

Photo entries will be judged by a panel of non-participating judges based on creativity, quality and originality.
