NATCHEZ — A Natchez woman was hospitalized Friday after another woman reportedly stabbed her during an argument.

Chiquita M. Patterson, 41, 205 Dumas Drive, Natchez, was charged with aggravated assault after she allegedly stabbed Valencia Brown near Maryland Heights apartments.

Natchez Police Detective Jerry Ford said the stabbing stemmed from an ongoing feud between the women.

“They had gotten into a verbal argument about some ongoing feud that they had been having amongst each other,” Ford said.

Patterson allegedly stabbed Brown in the stomach with a small knife, Ford said.

“As far as I know she is doing okay,” Ford said.
