Ferriday — A Ferriday man was booked into the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Sunday on charges of disturbing the peace and two counts of attempted second degree murder.
Jarvis Jarman Davis, 24, 609 10th St., Ferriday, was originally arrested by the Ferriday Police Department and booked by the CPSO Sunday.
As of Sunday, acting Ferriday Chief of Police Margaret Lawrence said she did not know all the details of the arrest.
Lawrence did say there was a shooting in Ferriday Saturday, but did not know if it was connected to the arrest.
“It was a disturbance,” Lawrence said. “Gunshots were involved.”
Lawrence said someone received minor injuries and drove themselves to Riverland Medical Center.
“They’re still investigating it,” Lawrence said.
More information would be available on both incidents in the morning, Lawrence said.
