Pizza delivery turns into armed robbery

VIDALIA — A Saturday night pizza delivery in Vidalia resulted in an armed robbery for one driver.
According to Assistant Police Chief Bruce Wiley, the Vidalia Police Department received a call at 11:23 p.m. Saturday.
The call came from a driver from Domino’s. The driver said he was robbed at gunpoint by a black male, Wiley wrote in an email.
The driver told police approximately $60 in food and $2 in cash were taken.
The robbery took place at Beach Street, and Wiley said the matter is currently under investigation.
