I have always enjoyed the Beatles’ music and have played those famous songs many times in my own band. The Beatles changed the music world forever when they came to the USA in 1964. You will have the opportunity to hear these Lads again and the performance will remind you of the days of “Beatlemania”.
Please come, enjoy, and relive your memories at Concordia Parish Library‘s concert on the river at the Vidalia Conference and Convention Center on Thursday 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the tickets are free of charge. These concerts are supported by the Vidalia Conference and Convention Center, the Comfort Suites Riverfront, the Division of the Arts and Concordia Parish Library.
This tribute band “Meet the Beetles” hails from Chicago and is a loving tribute to John, Paul, George, and Ringo. Each member of the band is a skilled musician and also a talented impersonator of their character. The group plays Beatles’ music ranging from their early concert days, playing songs such as “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and “Help!” to their more psychedelic material of the late sixties, “Revolution” and “Something.” This tribute band got their name from Meet the Beatles! , the second Beatles album released in the United States and it was the first US Beatles album to be issued by Capitol Records in January 1964.
This tribute band LOOKs, SOUNDs, and ACTs just like the Beatles! Their performance will make you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time.
The group “Meet the Beetles” will wear authentic costumes and use authentic British accents with accurate vintage and replica instruments. Their stage banter is witty and unscripted. Many tribute acts script, but the Beatles never did….making the show more authentic and allowing them to personalize the show just for their Miss-Lou audience.
They will perform the songs in the same key the Beatles did them. The playlist of the Beatle songs is extensive from all eras. The Thursday concert will be FUN and you will feel a high energy show. This tribute band has traveled from coast to coast performing at many different venues and has appeared on Fox and NBC News.
This project is supported by a grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council as administered by the Arts Council of Central Louisiana and made possible because of a “block booking” through The Louisiana Partnership for the Arts’ Presenters Network.
Many of us are still madly in love with The Beatles; 51 years after Pan Am Flight 101 brought the Fab Four to our shores on Feb. 7, 1964 to their appearance on the Ed Sullivan show.
So sit back and enjoy this performance on Thursday at 7 p.m. in your own community at the Vidalia Conference and Convention Center.
Cheers to all you lads!
