Tossing rocks into fray doesn’t help

I wish to address several things regarding yet another letter to The Democrat from Ed Field.

First, he seems to have an abundance of time on his hands. His ego seems limitless to believe his skewed views and opinions on recent events have any validity to the majority of your readers.

Mr. Field didn’t know any of the slain black men. Nor does he know the intent or thought processes of any of the police officers. They are and were individuals. Each event was unique in its own way.

The real constant is that another American is dead at the hands of those sworn to serve and protect. In lieu of using inflammatory words and catch phrases like “Darwin Award if people do outstandingly stupid things that remove their gene pool,” he could use that extra time and ego more constructively.

This country — my country, our country — has racial problems. It serves no purpose to sit on the sidelines and throw rocks. Any idiot can do that.

If your concerns are so great that you feel compelled to weigh in, do so in a manner that moves us forward. If not, you are no better than the muckrakers and camera hogs you seem to relish denigrating.
