Weekend Ticket: Easter Egg hunts to headline weekend

NATCHEZ — Easter egg hunts will provide much fun and entertainment for area residents this weekend.
Partly cloudy skies are expected today with thunderstorms approaching Friday. Temperatures will remain in the low 70s throughout the weekend.
4 Area Easter egg hunts
Residents of the Miss-Lou will have the opportunity to participate in several Easter egg hunts this weekend.
Natchez Youth Center
The community Easter egg hunt will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Natchez Youth Center.
This year’s activities will include pictures with Peter, the famous bunny rabbit.
There will also be toys and prize giveaways, such as Easter baskets and bicycles.
Activities will be provided for three age groups — 3 to 5, 6 to 8 and 9 to 12.
The community is invited to participate.
Duncan Park
The 59th annual Miss-Lou Easter egg hunt will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Duncan Park Ball Field for children ages 1 through 8.
An estimated 5,000 eggs will be hidden and prizes will be given at the end of the hunt.
Natchez Church of God
Natchez Church of God will host its second annual Eggapalooza at 11 a.m. Saturday at Natchez State Park.
Approximately 50,000 eggs will be hidden around the property.
Games, drinks and sweets will be available for children ages 12 and under.
Community Chapel Church of God
Community Chapel Church of God will have its Easer egg hunt from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Children are required to bring their own basket with 12 wrapped candy-filled plastic eggs.
The hunt will be for infants to children age 9.
Lunch will be served.
Vidalia Upper Elementary School Yard Sale at Vidalia Market
Vidalia Upper Elementary will host a school yard sale from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday in the Vidalia Market parking lot.
Proceeds will benefit playground equipment repairs.
Natchez Little Theatre presents “Little Women” and “Southern Exposure”
The Natchez Little Theatre will wrap up two Spring Pilgrimage productions this weekend.
“Little Women” will take place 7:30 p.m. Friday, while “Southern Exposure” will take place 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Vidalia Landing Flea Market
The Vidalia Landing Flea Market will continue Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the Vidalia Riverfront.
Registration begins at 7 a.m. at the amphitheater on the Riverfront.
Organizer Paul Brooks said those who wish to participate could set up a tent and sell a variety of items such as arts and crafts.
The Vidalia Landing Flea Market will also feature food concession stands.
