Clayton — A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrests of multiple suspects who were involved in a Clayton armed robbery last week.
Parts Warehouse Inc. is offering $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved in the shooting of their employee, who was shot in the left triceps area after delivering a shipment to Sharp’s Body Shop in Clayton, said Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Investigator Phillip Webber.
The truck driver has been released from Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., Webber said.
The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation to look for the multiple suspects involved in the shooting, which began as an alleged armed robbery but is now being treated as attempted murder.
“To me, it looks like he was targeted,” Webber said. “It appears as through he was ambushed inside the truck.”
When the truck driver was ambushed, the suspects did not expect for him to fire back with a weapon he retrieved from the truck, forcing them to flee the scene, Webber said.
Webber said the shooting was not gang related.
Anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts can call CPSO at 318-336-5231.
