Truck driver shot in Concordia Parish armed robbery

CLAYTON — A truck driver is in stable condition following an alleged armed robbery Wednesday.
The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation involving an alleged armed robbery, which took place at 11 p.m. Wednesday at Sharp’s Body Shot in Clayton on 31569 Louisiana 15.
A truck driver was delivering a shipment to Sharp’s Body Shop when multiple suspects attempted to rob him, shooting him in the process as the victim returned to his truck CPSO Investigator Phillip Webber said.
The victim retrieved a weapon from his truck and returned fire, but the suspects escaped.
The victim was shot in the left triceps area and is being treated at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La.
