SAN ANTONIO — U.S. Air National Guard Airman First Class Jennifer M. Carter recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Carter is the daughter of Tony and Krystine Carter of Belle Chasse, La.

She is also the granddaughter of Rosemary Arcement and Rosemary Roach of Belle Chase, and of Charles and Lela Carter of Saint Joseph.

The airman graduated in 2008 from Belle Chasse High School in Belle Chasse.
