Finally, Fall has arrived; and with its brisk breezes and fabulous foliage, the members of the Natchez Garden Club are gearing up for the upcoming hustle and bustle of a new season.
The November membership meeting is scheduled for Thursday. This month’s meeting will be hosted at Magnolia Hall at 11 a.m.
First up, Nick Wirwa of the Lower Mississippi River Refuge Complex in Sibley will present to our members a program about the work he does on the refuge. Mr. Wirwa will discuss the necessity of preserving the air, water, forest and land that is crucial to protecting the wildlife; particularly migratory bird in Mississippi.
As always, be sure to bring your items for the Stewpot and the Women’s Shelter.
We will be donating pre-packaged cookies to the Stewpot.
Since the upcoming Thanksgiving holidays are quickly approaching, helping the Stewpot with this donation will be immensely appreciated.
Also, be sure to bring your feminine hygiene items for the Women’s Shelter to help them during this busy time, as well.
Make sure to call the Garden Club Office to make your reservation so you can have a spot at this meeting and luncheon.
The number for the office is 601-443-9065.
Also, make your way over to our website, natchezgardenclub.org, to learn more about our club, our events, our houses and what we will have to offer throughout the upcoming months.
We are also on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Pushlocal.
So, be sure to hop on those fabulous social media sites, follow us, and watch for all updates we will be making this Fall.
See you Thursday.
Jennie Guido is the publicity chairman of Natchez Garden Club.
