FERRIDAY — With the goal of helping Concordia school children, as well as aid communities in need both here and around the world, the Ferriday Rotary Club is planning a pancake supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6 at the Concordia Parish Community Center located at 26358 Louisiana 15 in Ferriday.
The supper will include pancakes and sausage with all the trimmings. Dine-in or take out plates will be available.
Pancake plates are $7 each and tickets will be available at the door. Prior to the event, tickets are also available from any member of the Ferriday Rotary Club.
Proceeds from the event will be used for “The Dictionary Project” to purchase dictionaries for third-grade students in all Concordia Parish schools. A portion of the proceeds will also be used to provide humanitarian aid to struggling regions of this country and others around the world.
Because of the evening event, the Ferriday Rotary Club will not host its regular noon meeting Nov. 6.
