NATCHEZ — Silas Simmons, LLP, certified public accountants, announced this week Leigh M. Ford has passed all examinations and met all of the other requirements required to be recognized as a certified public accountant.

She received certificate number R3654 from the Mississippi State Board of Public Accountancy in Jackson.

Ford joined Silas Simmons in 2012 after obtaining a bachelor of arts in communication studies from Louisiana State University in 2007 and a bachelor of business administration in cccounting from University of Louisiana Monroe in 2012.

Ford practices primarily in the areas of tax and accounting.

She is the daughter of Douglas and Joyce McGowan of Woodville. Ford is married to Harry Ford, and they are residents of the Lake St. John community.
