NATCHEZ — The Miss-Lou will experience some chills today and Sunday, but weather experts say it will make for a nice weekend overall.
“It’s kind of a double barrel cold front that will pass through and bring the coolest air we have seen so for to the region,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Brad Bryant.
Today will be sunny, with a high near 73 degrees. Temperatures are expected to drop to 45 degrees tonight.
“It’s going to be really cool compared to what it has been in the past,” Bryant said. “We are not expecting any record breaking temperatures.”
Sunday is expected to have a high near 80, with light winds increasing from 5 to 10 mph early that morning. Sunday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 60 degrees with a wind gust around 5 mph.
“It’s going to be nice fall weather for anyone planning to go out, but it may be a little breezy Sunday,” Bryant said.
The cold front, Bryant said, will linger around throughout the weekend. But as Monday rolls in, temperatures will rise to a high near 78 degrees with a 30 percent chance of rain.
