NATCHEZ — The Aug. 31 issue of Wine Spectator magazine included The Castle Restaurant and Pub in its list of 3,748 restaurants from across all 50 states and 80 other countries and territories noted for their wine offerings.

The Castle Restaraunt and Pub was one of 16 Mississippi restaurants included in the publication.

The Castle Manager Mark Brockway said the restaurant has been selected by the publication for 12 of the 13 years it has been open. The restaurant aims to have a variety of different styles as well as an international selection, he said.

“We also try to have selections at various price points, stuff that is for people who are new to wine so they don’t have to feel intimidated by having to order a $200 bottle of wine, but we also have that for those who enjoy a product with a higher level of sophistication as well,” Brockway said.
