GLOSTER — Services for Richard Coleman Felter, 65, of Crosby, who died Saturday, July 12, 2014, at his sister Wanda Watts’ residence, will be at 10 a.m. today at Brown Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Enlow Cemetery in Crosby under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Felter was born July 8, 1949, the son of Lloyd and Stella Perry Felter.
He worked at the William Carter Company in Centreville, in the sawmill industry at various locations and was a log truck driver for Smith Brothers in Roxie.
Mr. Felter was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Thomas, Ernest and Donald Felter.
Survivors two brothers, Kenneth Felter of Crosby and Jonathan Felter and wife, Erica, of Natchez; three sisters, Betty Murray and husband, Gordon, of McCall Creek; Cathy Murray and husband, Rodney, of Crosby, and Wanda Watts and husband, Thomas, of Meadville; one uncle, Lamar Felter Sr. and wife, Henrietta, of Natchez; three aunts, Ally B. Wisner and Juanita Perry, both of Crosby, and Joyce Felter of Natchez; and a number of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Rodger E. Simmons Jr., Spanky Felter, Stanley “Spanky Sr.” Felter, Lamar “Bo” Felter Jr., Dewitt Felter and Austin Burris.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Watts, Rodney W. Murray Jr., Douglas Felter, Jonathan Felter and Michael Watts.
The family request in lieu of flowers, a donation in Richard’s memory may be made to the Natchez Adams County Humane Society.
