NATCHEZ — Services for Charles Reese “Charlie” Dukes Jr., 85, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at True Love Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Earnest Ford Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Natchez and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Dukes was born May 24, 1929, in Jasper County, the son of Charlie Reese Dukes Sr. and Nevada Lacy Dukes.

Mr. Dukes was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Manuel Dukes Sr.; and one sister, Juanita Gordan.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Kayte Dukes; four sons, Charlie Dukes III and Robert Charles Dukes, both of Natchez, Manuel Dukes of Houston, and Eddie Lee Gordon of Shubuta; two daughters, Charlis Renee Dukes of Natchez, and Edna Mae Carter of New Orleans; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three godchildren; one sister, Almeada Benton; one sister-in-law, Rosie Jean Dukes; and a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
