NATCHEZ — Services for Edward Gene Easton Sr., 65, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with the Rev. Timothy Blalock officiating.
Burial will follow in Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mr. Easton was born Sept. 1, 1948, in Roxie, the son of Booker T. Washington and Clarice Easton.
He served in the U.S. Marines and served the City of Natchez on its police department for many years.
Mr. Easton was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Easton; his parents; and his grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Easton; two sons, Staff Sergeant Edward G. Easton Jr. U.S.M.C. and wife, Risa, of San Diego, and Michael Easton and wife, Billie, of Natchez; three daughters, Vanessa Easton Turner and husband, Paul, of Baton Rouge, Ashley Easton and Christine Easton Walls, both of Natchez; one step-daughter, Tatiana Kearns and husband, Brady, of Utah; 10 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; a special devoted cousin, Willie Lee Washington and wife, Pat; and a number of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be the members of the Natchez Police Department.
Honorary pallbearers will be Willie Lee Washington, Charles Bader, Tyler Blalock, Andrew Calvit, Duke Edwards, Gary Edwards, Terry Estes, Freddie Gamberi, James White, Charles Zuccaro, Edward Zuccaro, Paul Zuccaro and William “Bill” Zuccaro.
