CRANFIELD — Services for Dinah Fleming Evans, 102, of Marietta, Ga., formerly of Cranfield, who died Sunday, June 29, 2014, in Marietta, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Windy Hill Baptist Church No.1 with the Rev. Samuel Porter officiating.
Burial will follow in Evans Family Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Evans was born Dec. 18, 1911, in Cranfield, the daughter of Charlie Sr. and Evaline Dooley Fleming.
Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband of 75, Hewitt “Hooks” Evans; her parents; two brothers, Charlie “Buddy” Fleming Jr. and L.J. “Bozie” Fleming; and four sisters, Beulah Fleming Hunt, Catherine Fleming Hunt, Emma Fleming Haynes and Mary Fleming.
Survivors include one daughter, Anna Evans Cameron and husband, Gerry, of Marietta; one grandson, Evan Michael Cameron and wife, Katlyn; two great-grandsons, Kyson Cameron and Troy Cameron, all of McConnell AFB, Kan.; one brother-in-law, Otis Evans of Chester, Pa., one god-son, Willie Briggs of Cranfield; and a number of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
