NATCHEZ — Two Natchez residents were arrested in Alabama Wednesday charged with the rape of a 14-year-old girl.
Alvion Terrill Sampson, 20, and John Brandon Sanders, 21, both of Natchez, face first degree rape charges by the Gulf Shores Police Department.
Officers responded to a call at 4:31 a.m. Wednesday of a possible sexual assault and found the victim, a 14-year-old girl, unconscious, police said.
After regaining consciousness, the victim told police officers she was in a vehicle with two adult men she had first met the previous night.
While riding around the Alabama gulf coast city, the male subjects allegedly provided alcohol to the 14-year-old victim.
“Information provided to investigators indicates the 14-year-old became intoxicated during the early hours of Wednesday … and she was raped,” the release stated.
Officers stopped a vehicle Wednesday matching the description provided by the victim, and information provided by those in the vehicle led to the eventual arrest of Sampson and Sanders, police said.
Police later determined the rape took place on the beach.
Police said the investigation was continuing and ask anyone with information to call 251-968-2431.
