NATCHEZ — Services for William D. Ware, 79, of Natchez, who died Sunday, June 22, 2014, at The Sonny Montgomery Veterans Hospital in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Maurice Irving officiating.
Burial will follow in the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ware was born Oct. 13, 1935, in Natchez, the son of Walter Ware Sr. and Cebel Davis Ware.
He served in the U.S. Army. He earned a bachelors degree in English and was a chef.
Mr. Ware was preceded by his parents; two brothers, Burnell Ware and James Ware; three sisters, Betty Marsaw, Geraldine Butler and Lavia Ware.
Survivors include two brothers, John Ware of Natchez and Walter Ware Jr. of California; and one sister, Claudia Ware.
