SICILY ISLAND — Services for Pauline Sarah Golman Henslee, 78, of Vidalia who died Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Mary Anna Nursing Home in Wisner, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Pine Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Gainey and the Rev. Harrell Tucker officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Henslee was born June 23, 1935, the daughter of Ray and Inez Rushing Golmon.
She graduated from Sicily Island, La., in 1954.
She worked for Dr. Jones in his clinic in Wisner in her younger years. She later worked in the family business “Larry TV’s” in Vidalia with her husband.
Mrs. Henslee was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers-in-law, Gordon Wallace Henslee and Dr. John Fairbanks.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years George Larry Henslee Sr.; two sons, George Henslee Jr. and wife, Tina, of Waynesboro, and John Henslee and wife, Jennifer, of Gilbert; two daughters, Diane Sroud and husband, Jimmy, of Vidalia, and Paula Graves and husband, Joe, of Wisner; nine grandchildren, Heather Stroud, Amber Walsworth and husband, Hunter, of Vidalia, Wes Stroud and wife, Amanda, of Natchez, Stan Graves and wife, Amanda, Scott Graves and wife, Shianne, of Wisner, Kayla and Kimberly Hendren, George Larry Henslee III of Waynesboro, and Jerry Henslee of Jena; nine great-grandchildren, Bailey Kay and Warren Stroud, of Natchez, Blake and Kaleb Graves, Ashlynn Drane, Natalie and Edward Buford, Laken Evans and David McIlwain; two brothers, Ray Golmon Jr. and wife Bernice, of Sicily Island, and Jerry Golmon and wife, Elva, of Frierson; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Fairbanks of Vidalia and Helen Henslee of Kelly; and a number of nephews, nieces and friends.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
