Ferriday introduces budget for 2014-15

FERRIDAY — The Town of Ferriday introduced a proposed budget Tuesday for the 2014-15 fiscal year and will host a public hearing on the budget next month.
The budget includes $27,485 less in expected total revenues compared to last fiscal year. A total of $2,737,115 is listed as the expected total revenues for the proposed budget.
The budget also includes $31,900 less in operating expenses compared to last fiscal year. A total of $2,446,920 is listed as the expected operating expenses for the proposed budget.
Mayor Gene Allen said the board will host a public hearing on the budget at the board’s July meeting before adopting the budget.
No other business was conducted at the board’s monthly meeting Tuesday.
