NATCHEZ —Services for Lula Mae Thompson, 86, of Natchez, who died Monday, May 26, 2014, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Leroy White officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset View Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.05:30 Lula Mae Thompson obitpic

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thompson was born July 25, 1927, in Leesdale, the daughter of George “Jack” Jackson and Callie Jackson.

Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert “Judge” Thompson; one daughter, Diana Thompson Davis; one great-grandson, Samuel Anderson; and a number of brothers, sisters and other family members.

Survivors include four sons, Johnny Moore and wife, Pamela, of Novi, Mich., Albert Thompson of Natchez, Clyde Thompson and wife, Robin, of Falls Church, Va. and George Thompson and wife, Patricia, of Jackson; three daughters, Frances Bailey and husband, Charles and Annette Anderson, all of Natchez, Wanda Viverette of Jackson; two grandchildren reared as her own, Merle Davis of Natchez and Muriel Davis of Seattle; one brother, Aaron Jackson of Natchez; one sister, Eddie Hobson of Natchez; two brothers-in-law, the Rev. Alonzo Irving and wife, Mildred, and J.C. Thompson, all of Natchez; one sister-in-law, Exlena Willis of Natchez; 25 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be DeWayne Anderson, Jimmy Davis, Kevin May, Kevin Bailey, Keith Gaines and Ricky Butler.
