NATCHEZ — Services for Kenneth Tyrone Banks, 53, of Marrero, La., who died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church in Natchez with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Banks was born Nov. 25, 1960, in Natchez, the son of Estelle Banks Gooden.

He was employed by Westbank ARC.

He was member of St. Peter African Methodist Episcopal Church in New Orleans.

Mr. Banks was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sam and Schewedia Banks.

Survivors include his mother, Estelle Banks Gooden and husband, James; one brother, Larry D. Banks and wife, Hazel, of Natchez; two aunts, Susie M. Banks and Hattie Banks, both of Columbia, SC.; and godsister, Patricia Boygent of Marrero.
