RIDGECREST — Services for David Frankle Scruggs, 60, of Ridgecrest, who died Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Gay Bradford and the Rev. Ken Ensiminger officiating.
Burial will follow in Woodland Memorial Park in Jena under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the church.
Mr. Scruggs was born Sept. 17, 1953, in Natchez, the son of Clarence Scruggs and Launa Ainsworth Scruggs.
He was a resident of Ridgecrest, a member of Assembly of God of Ridgecrest and a master mechanic.
He was a very good and hardworking man. He loved his children and family very much. He would help anyone that needed help and ask for nothing in return.
Mr. Scruggs was preceded in death by parents; wife, Kathy Scruggs; and one brother, Michael Cotten.
Survivors include wife, Wendi Scruggs; two sons, David Ray Scruggs and wife, Tara, of Monterey and Patrick Scruggs of Ridgecrest; one daughter, Lacey Scruggs of Sicily Island; two stepdaughters, Quillan Green and husband, Josh, of Vidalia and Erin Smith of Monterey; four sisters, Ernie Martin and husband, Nub, Dorothy Swaggart, all of Ferriday, Jean Duncan and Barbara Starr and husband, Clifton, all of Vidalia; 12 grandchildren; and a number of nephews and nieces whom he loved very much.
Pallbearers will be Cory Martin, AJ Williamson, Colt Carlton, Jody Starr, Matt Parker and Brad Martin.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men and women he worked with at R360 Environmental Solutions in Bourg, La., whom he thought the world of.
