WATERPROOF — Services for Roosevelt Bottley, 70, of Waterproof, who died Friday, May 9, 2014, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital, in Meadville, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jarrod Bottley officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Bottley was born May 16, 1943, in St. Joseph, the son of Eli Bottley and Cleora Turner.
He attended Young’s Chapel Baptist Church in Vidalia.
He was a farmer.
Mr. Bottley was preceded in death by his father; three brothers, Theodore Bottley, McKensy Turner and Cleandrew Barden; one sister, Orlean Washington; and one grandson, Brian Bottley.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Bottley; his mother; two daughters, CaSandra Bottley and Mary Nellon; two brothers, Freddie Barden and Edward Turner; one sister, Cherrie Ambrose; and four grandchildren, Dr. Jarrod Bottley, LaTasha Nellon, Marcus Nellon and Reggie Nellon.
