FERRIDAY — Services for Novis Beason Wiley, 84, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Lloyd Trisler and the Rev. Kim Frith officiating.
Burial will follow in Roger’s Cemetery in Clayton under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wiley was born Oct. 30, 1929, in Anacoco, the daughter of Fisher B. and Vener Evon Beason.
Mrs. Wiley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, A. E. Wiley; one son, Bobby Wiley; and two brothers, Carson Beason and Ezra Beason.
Survivors include one son, Bill Wiley and wife, Linda, of West Monroe; one daughter, Connie Patterson and husband, Paul, of Ferriday; two granddaughters, Christal McGlothin and husband, Cliff and Amber Ballard, all of Vidalia; one great-grandson, Alden Cupit of Vidalia; three great-granddaughters, Caitlin Ballard, Lauren Edwards and Chloe McGlothin, all of Vidalia; three brothers, Wayne Beason and wife, Linda, of Frost, Texas, F. B. Beason of Nacogdoches, Texas and C. B. Beason of Bastrop; special friend and neighbor, Brenda Corban; and a number of nephews and nieces.
A special thanks to her caregivers, Rachel Fields and Janie Johnson, who she loved so much. As well as other caregivers from All About You, Camellia Homecare and Hospice and Louisiana Homecare.
Pallbearers will be Cliff McGlothin, Alden Cupit, Sammy Corban, Rob Beason, David Beason and Monty Warshaw.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Patterson, Roger Wiley and Kenneth Hedrick.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s or a charity of your choice.
