LIBERTY — Services for Myra Luane Honea, 67, of Liberty, who died Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Wilkinson County Senior Care in Centreville, will be at 4 p.m. today at New Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Burnett Carraway officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Honea was born Oct. 29, 1946, in Amite County, the daughter of Ebbie Wilkinson and Betty Williams Wilkinson.
She retired from East Baton Rouge Sheriff Office, where she worked in bookkeeping and processing.
Mrs. Honea was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Anthony Keith Scott; three brothers, John A. Wilkinson, Otis Wilkinson and L.H. Wilkinson; and one sister, Aldean Longmire.
Survivors include her husband, John Honea; one stepson, Jonathan Honea and wife, Meagan; two grandchildren, Brandon and Rachel Scott; step-grandson, Briggs Honea; one brother, Thomas A. Wilkinson and wife, Pauline, of Liberty; three sisters, Lennie Westbrook of Liberty, Fannie Hazlip of Gloster and Marlene Harrell and husband, Clyde, of Gloster.
Pallbearers will be Robert A. Wilkinson, Larry Joe Wilkinson, Bennie Thornton, Allen Westbrook, Johnny Westbrook and Mike Thornton.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Thomas M. Longmire, Galen Longmire, Ken Wroten, Jonathan Honea, Chase Casanova, Jason Parrish, Wayne Temple, Terry Temple, Hilton Hollingsworth and D.J. Honea.
