NATCHEZ — Services for Irma Lee Clayton Williams, 78, of Riverdale, Ga., formerly of Natchez, who died Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Baptist Church with the Rev. Wilsonni Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.05:09 Irma Lee Clayton Williams obitpic

Visitation will be from 5 to 5:45 p.m. today with a “Celebration of Life” wake service at 6 p.m. both at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Williams was born June 18, 1935, in Natchez, the daughter of Charles Clayton Sr. and Lottie Mae Dorsey Clayton.

She was a member of Greater True Lane Baptist Church in New Orleans.

She worked in the school system and was a social worker for 25 years. In earlier years, she enjoyed ceramics.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Edward Williams Jr.; one brother, Robert Earl; and two sisters, Leola Clayton and Theresa Watts.

Survivors include one daughter, Ellene Williams of Riverdale; two brothers, Charles Clayton Jr. and Autry Clayton Sr. and wife, Jerry Dean; two sisters, Latifah Abdullah and Leatrice Shaw, all of Natchez; four grandchildren, Veronique Williams Henderson, Tianne Williams, Shantia Williams and Christopher Martin; nine great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
