FERRIDAY — Services for Elidee “Miss DeeDee” Lewis, 108, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Camelot Leisure Living, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Highway 15 Community Center with the Rev. Eugene Williams officiating.
Burial will follow in Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Ms. Lewis was born March 26, 1906, in Frogmore, the daughter of Theodore and Jennie Chatman Johnson.
She was a seamstress and the oldest resident in Concordia Parish.
Survivors include her son, Shelvey Dunkley and wife, Joy, of Ferriday; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Jessie Mae Johnson of Ferriday; and a number of nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and the staff and residents of Camelot Leisure Living Home.
