NATCHEZ — Funeral arrangements for Lucille Hollins Posey, 80, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, April 28, 2014, at Promise Hospital of Miss-Lou in Vidalia, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. George W. Burden SSJ officiating.
Burial will follow in Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. Posey was born Nov. 14, 1933, in Natchez, the daughter of Thomas and Annie Banks Hollins.
She was a former member of Holy Family Choir, AJFC Inspirational Choir, member of Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary, Fathet Morrisey Court No. 9 33rd Degree and H. R. Marshall and E. Brinkley Chapter No. 44 4th Degree.
Mrs. Posey was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Posey Sr.; her parents; four sisters, Ruth Hollins, JoAnn Wilson, Viola Schnieder and JoMarie Humes; one grandson, Marcus Posey; and one son-in-law, Anderson Tenner Jr.
Survivors include one son, Charles; five daughters, Jacquelyn and husband, Moses, Geneva and husband, Al, Evelyn and husband, Troy, Maria and husband, Rodney, and Joyce; 11 grandchildren, Shaka, Natasha, Chaundra, Al, Chuck, Matthew, Madison, McKenzie, Nikki, Maya and Andy; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, V. Mary Washington; seven nephews; one niece; and a number of other relatives and friends.
