NATCHEZ — Services for Felton S. Slack Jr., 61, of Marerro, formerly of Natchez, who died Friday, April 25, 2014, at Canon Hospice in Jefferson, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Smithland Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Kaho officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Mr. Slack was born Dec. 27, 1952, in Natchez, the son of Felton S. Slack Sr. and Clara Montgomery Slack.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Bright Star Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Butler.

Mr. Slack was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, LaShanna Slack; and one brother, Ralph Slack.

Survivors include his devoted and loving wife, Ethel Henderson Slack; one daughter, TreRhonda Joseph; two grandchildren, ReaChanel Howard and Christian Joseph; one sister, Caroln Myles and husband, Edward; two brothers-in-law, Leroy King and wife, Dorothy and James King; and a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
